Is participation in a clinical trial safe?
All clinical trials are reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board before they begin. Every study we conduct follows strict federal regulations designed to protect participants. You will receive a detailed informed consent process before agreeing to anything, and you can withdraw at any time without affecting your standard medical care.
Will I have to pay anything?
No. All study-related visits, tests, procedures, and investigational treatments are provided at no cost to you. Many studies also provide compensation for your time and any travel involved in participation.
Will this affect my relationship with my current doctor?
No. Participating in a clinical trial does not replace your existing care. We work alongside your physician, not instead of them. Any follow-up clinical care or decisions about your treatment remain with your doctor.
What kinds of conditions are you studying?

Can I leave a study after I have started?
Yes, at any time and for any reason. Withdrawing from a study never affects your access to standard medical care, and you do not need to provide a reason if you would rather not.
Who oversees the ethics of a study?
Every study we conduct is reviewed and approved by an independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) before it begins and is monitored throughout. The IRB exists solely to protect participant rights and safety, separate from the study sponsor and from CFCR.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Your health information is protected under federal privacy law and study-specific confidentiality protocols. Information shared with study sponsors is de-identified according to strict regulatory standards before it leaves our facility.
Can I ask questions throughout the study?
Always. You have the right to ask questions before, during, and after a study, and to receive clear answers in plain language. Our team is available to walk through anything you do not understand at any point in the process.
